Let’s face it, one of the worst parts of fishing is tying knots, you are either tying a knot when you first get to your fishing spot or even worse… a fish just broke your line and took your fly with it. If your like me and have really fat hands, tying knots can be extremely difficult. But trying knots well can save you time and a lot of heartache.
One of the most basic and universally knots is the Fisherman’s knot. It can be used in all facets of fishing and is an easy knot to learn but very effective. In this week’s “how to” video I will show how to effectively tie this knot. In this video I use a shoelace in place of the line and a blue paperclip in place of the hook in order to show what is happening when tying this knot. Enjoy and learn something!
